Which Seniors are First-In-Line for the COVID-19 Vaccine

by | Senior Living

We’ve all been waiting on good news regarding the pandemic, particularly seniors as well as other high-risk groups and finally, that news is here: COVID-19 vaccines have been approved by the FDA and the CDC has recommended that residents in senior living be among the first to be vaccinated. As part of this effort, COVID-19 Vaccine clinics are successfully underway across Navion communities!

COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics at Navion Communities

Navion communities have successfully completed the first round of vaccine clinics, with second and third rounds scheduled for completion by mid-March. Through our partnerships with Walgreens and CVS, Navion is providing residents and associates vaccinations free of charge. Licensed professionals will carefully administer the vaccinations within Navion communities, even further protecting residents by sparing them the need to go out in high-risk public spaces to receive the vaccine.

Walgreens and CVS pharmacies will each conduct three immunization clinics at every Navion community.

  • Clinic 1 – through February: Residents and associates receive the first dose.
  • Clinic 2 -Starting in February: Group from Clinic 1 receives the second dose. Those not included in Clinic 1 receive the first dose.
  • Clinic 3 – through mid-March: Group from Clinic 2 receives the second dose.

Rest assured, the team at Navion Senior Solutions has been actively preparing for vaccine efforts in our communities for some time. Please check with your local Navion community for the latest information on vaccine clinics.

Priority Access Means Peace of Mind

Being among the first to get vaccinated, even before seniors living at home, gives our residents and their families tremendous peace of mind. Not only will the COVID-19 vaccine help protect our residents from getting this dangerous virus, it also helps to stop the spread of the virus. This means our seniors can start getting back to the life they love again, and our families back to the hugs as well as the time together that we’ve all so dearly missed – even sooner!

Is it Time for the Next Step?

If you have been considering senior living for yourself or a loved one, there has never been a better time to move.
