Meet our Executive Director
Amanda-Kay Edwards
I am Amanda-Kay Edwards, Executive Director for Mallard Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care. I started at Mallard Ridge in 2009 and gained my experience through internal growth. I began my career as a Certified Nursing Assistant and over the past 13 years have been promoted to Office Manager, Wellness Director, Staffing Director which has led to my current position as Executive Director. I literally grew up at Mallard Ridge.
My joy has always been serving others. I developed my passion for seniors when I became the primary caregiver for my grandmother who was diagnosed with cancer. “It just clicked for me.” This is all I want to do.
My values center on always doing my best. My management style concentrates on teaching others to strive to give their best too. “Integrity is one of the few things in this life that you have control of, and no one can take away from you unless you let them.”
My family is number one. I have 4 children and we love to be outdoors. Our adventures include camping, going to the beach, and amusement parks. In general, I am a ‘Hippie at Heart” and love all things natural. I gain my balance through home cooking with my family each weekend and living as organic as we can.
Mallard Ridge is part of my home. This is where my roots are – this is where my hearts is!
