A Letter from a Grateful Family

To April and the Dalton Square Team,

I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for the extraordinary care my mother and our family received during the last two months of her life at Dalton Square.

From the moment my mother began her journey into her new home—and ultimately her final home on this earth—we were surrounded by compassion, dignity, and genuine love. What could have been an overwhelming and heartbreaking experience became one filled with comfort, peace, and support because of the incredible people at Dalton Square.

I would first like to recognize Josh and Brendon. They made my mother feel safe, secure, respected, and loved from the very beginning.

Josh is the perfect person for his role. He doesn’t simply sell apartments—he helps families find a home. His compassion, sincerity, and ability to connect with both residents and their loved ones are truly remarkable. Throughout the entire process, we never felt like a transaction. We felt like family. His kindness and genuine concern gave us confidence that we had chosen the right place for Mom.

Brendon truly embodies the meaning of Life Enrichment. He brings joy, purpose, laughter, and companionship to the residents every single day. His compassion is evident in every interaction, and it is impossible not to notice how much the residents love him. More importantly, it is equally clear how much he loves and cares for them. He has a gift for making every resident feel seen, valued, and important.

From the first day, Jimmy helped prepare Mom’s room and made sure everything was ready before she arrived. His willingness to help immediately eased our stress during a difficult transition.

Rhonda was always there with a smile and a positive attitude. Whether answering the phone, helping us access the building while moving Mom’s belongings, or assisting with countless questions, she consistently made us feel welcomed and supported. She quietly handles so many responsibilities that often go unnoticed, yet they are essential to making Dalton Square feel like home.

Kelly and the entire dining team also deserve special recognition. It’s easy to overlook everything that goes into providing meals every day, but Kelly’s kindness stood out. She wasn’t just serving food—she was serving people. Whether it was bringing coffee, offering a warm hug, or simply taking time to check on residents and families, she made everyone feel cared for.

One of the things that impressed us most was the culture throughout the entire community. Every time we entered the building, we were greeted warmly. Every team member acknowledged residents and visitors with kindness and respect. It was evident that everyone worked together with one common purpose—to provide exceptional care and make Dalton Square feel like home.

Finally, I want to recognize your leadership, April.

Your presence throughout the community, your engagement with residents, your support of your staff, and your willingness to lead by example were evident every single day. Great leaders create great teams, and the exceptional people at Dalton Square are a reflection of your leadership. You have created a culture built on compassion, dignity, respect, and love.

Our family will never forget the care, comfort, and peace you gave our mother during the final chapter of her life. Knowing she was surrounded by people who truly loved and cared for her gave us a priceless gift. We are forever grateful to each of you for treating her with such dignity and for supporting our family every step of the way.
